Wonky extension wall

Hi - any advice on what to do with the following would be great,

I've got a long and narrow 1900's Victorian terrace in Tooting, SW London, the kitchen is at the back and is approx 2.5m wide by 2.8m long. The previous owner added a utility room exgtension onto the end of this, which is an additional 2.5m by 2.5m. Plan is here - i43.tinypic.com/2q82h5h.gif

I'm looking to open these up for a new bigger kitchen by removing the load bearing wall between them, its approx 30cm deep and adjoins the party wall on one side. I've had a structural engineer come take a look and it seems like its going to need a steel frame. So I'm happy with this and will pass on the calcs to my builder.

However I've noticed that the party wall in the utility room is not straight with the kitchen wall - nearest the kitchen its 2 cm deeper and on the outside wall is 10cm narrower. Since I'm looking to have a long run of kitchen units along this wall, I'm confused as to if this is even possible - and don't want to pay for the expense of removing the wall if i then won't be able to make proper use of the space. Is this sort of thing common, can it be straightened out?

You can add plasterboards to make up the difference and then skim. Not a difficult job.
