Me myself? Probably not that much. *blushes* The only thing I'm planning to make is the favours - I want to do tea and cake so will probably on some level make the teabags, either buying a loose tea (possibly a custom blend) and making up the bags or making the tags and attaching them to ready-made tea bags. I'm also planning to make a postbox for our cards.
However my mum is making all the stationery (save the dates, invitations, orders of service, menus) and possibly the cake, and I'm hoping my dad's cousin will make my dress - she's a fantastic seamstress and she made my sisters' wedding dresses, so it'd be nice to continue that tradition."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I'm doing a lot myself, as I'm on a tight budget and I really enjoy crafts. I'm doing my brooch bouquet, invitations, centrepieces, jewellery, button holes, embellishing my own wedding shoes, favours. I'm planning on getting some plain iced cakes from m and s and decorating myself.0

I love crafts! I've made my invites, tablecloths, cushion covers, all flower arrangements, bouquets for myself and bridesmaids, buttonholes, photo booth, favours and I will also be making all my cupcakes and my fiance and I have made the main meal in advance (pulled pork!). Our wedding is on the 7th September! I would be lying if I haven't stressed myself out more than once...hopefully I can tell you it'll all be worth it lol.Debt Free - Go Me0

I'm making -
my dress, hair piece, bouquet and a friend is doing my hair and make up as her gift
invitations and thank you cards (no save the dates, an email round the family and word of mouth round friends has done the trick)

we're having the cake made by H2B's god mother as her gift
place cards/favours, table plan and 'guest book' thumb print canvas
I've roped in an army of helpers to get it all done, my hen do is a crafting party with champagne afternoon tea!!Getting married 02.08.14

Wow, it's great to see so many other people are doing loads themselves too! Makes me feel it might actually be possible to do it all
Will keep you all posted on how things go and if I pick up any tips along the way, and no doubt I'll need some more advice as I go along!
I've already started on my shoes - bought a nice simple (and comfortable!) pair of courts and have bought all the sparkly bits and some glue so will hopefully get time to have a go at it over the next few weeks. Wanted to start early in case it looks awful and I need to start again!!
Then the next thing I'm going to tackle is the tiara/hair accessories for myself and the bridesmaids, have a pretty clear idea of what I want so it's just a case of buying all the materials and then I can get going.0 -

Oooh those cheese cakes are amazing! I particularly like the heart shaped cheese on there. Will definitely be taking some inspiration from that site- thank you for sharing
I know you were joking but I rather like the idea of including Babybels- maybe a Babybel border around the bottom tier?
I went to a wedding at the weekend and the bride is a huge cheese lover. She went to M&S, got two of their cheese platters, then cut up the different cheeses, placing a selection in small white boxes to be divided up into couples. Great idea :T.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.
