my partner was collecting a friend from Lutton airport in may, he stopped to look at the signs he should follow for the car park, he didn't get out of his car, a man came to his window to also ask which way to the car park. Two weeks later he had a parking charge notice from apcoa for dropping off/picking up outside a designated area, the fine was for £80.00 but if paid within a certain time £40.00, He tried to call apcoa's office several times to pay, but nobody was answering.
I put apcoa's into google and it directed me to this site, by reading other peoples posts it seemed it was a scam so I ignored it. Yesterday we received a letter from a company called Roxburghe, acting on behalf of apcoa for payment which is now £128.00, can anyone advise me what to do.:(

Did you actually carry out a more focussed search on this site (search box top right). There are loads and loads of threads about APCOA at Luton (and other airports). None of them in the last few months will tell you to ignore. You should have appealed.

Too late now, so best to continue to ignore. Meanwhile, avail yourself again of the search facility, and look up Roxburghe to see what a joke they are, and how they are also ignorable.

When did this happen? As this forum hasn't advised to ignore for sometime now. You must have been looking at old threads.

Also if you have read the forums, even the old ones, you will know that Roxburghe are just part of the scam chain, they are also having problems retaining their debt collectors licence.

As you are well down the ignore route, you should carry on with that unless you get a letter before action or stamped county court claim papers.

Thanks for your reply's, but I struggle using computers and looking up web sites hence i only found it seems older threads, should they not be taken off so as not to confuse people like me.

Well refine your search using the ADVANCED feature and limit your searches to 1 month. You will get loads.

Or just look down through 4 pages or so from the top.,

Shame you missed the POPLA appeal chance to get it cancelled but try my suggestions there instead to get it cancelled by complaining & pointing out the flaws with it.
