First Direct £125

Hi all,
Considering switching banks soon and I've been looking around. I see First Direct are offering people £125 to switch and another £100 if they go elsewhere. I don't believe £125 per new customer can be cost effective for them, so I can't help but feel there's a catch to this I haven't seen.
Has anybody switched since this offer was available? And has anyone had any trouble or unexpected charges?

There is no catch. Just follow their instructions for the switch to the dot, else you might not get the money.
Oodles of people have used that offer, if only to get access to the 6% Reg Saver. Just search the board and you will find plenty about this account.0 -
No catch, I did this sometime ago and got both the switching offer for joining and leaving.
Fortunately they messed up giving me the perfect reason to leave and grab the cash
