Barclaycard Hilton/Priority Club Cards

Well as long as you aren't paying more than you would have. Our blogger is happy to pay for Club World if he can't get a redemption, but I'm not, etc so a free Hilton night would only be worth £100 max for me, and it would have to be in already expensive cities - even if the room itself would usually cost £3000

Speak of the devil, the points may be very slow to post, but the free night certificate arrived an hour ago.
Conrad Hong Kong booked, £300 value, thank you Barclaycard!0 -
How long ago did you hit the spend requirement?0

About a month, haven't used the card since then.0

Not sure on Barclaycard's policy on holding multiple accounts though, has anyone had both of these cards at the same time?
Personally I'd go with the Hilton card although I do think the UK card is a bit of a !!!! take, yes you get the free night/stay worth as much as the most expensive Hilton room but with the German card for example, you get Gold for as long as you hold the card which is a lot better than Silver and you can reach Silver with great ease compared to Gold, 4 stays for Silver versus 20 for Gold (I'll be honest and say I don't know what constitutes a stay, could be one night or it could be 3 nights all I know is that I've exceeded the amount of nights).
I would still pick the Hilton over the IHG Priority Club as I don't stay in IHG hotels, it does come down to what brand of hotels you stay in more though tbh.0 -
I'll probably get both cards and ditch the Hilton one once I've qualified for the free night.
FYI, a 'stay' is anything from one to however many nights. Hotel programs generally allow you to progress through status levels by having X number of nights or X number of stays.
Usually the requirement for stays is less than nights. People who pursue status levels will sometimes do so-called mattress runs whereby if they are visiting a big city they may spend a single night at several hotels under the same chain rather than spend the whole time at a single hotel.0 -

Ah thank you for that, I can get my stays up with ease now.0
