they want to check the rest of your credit to see who they can complain to. Don't let them.
Lloyds will pay you and then you pay the firm, not the firm who then pays you.
They are lying.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Are you saying Lloyds are saying they want your credit file? That is not a normal request. Or is it bank smart? if so, dont do it. Also, the bank tells you if you ahve been successful. If the claims company is telling you then be on guard. That is a common scam.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. The money isnt paid to them though. The bank pays the redress direct to the individual (you).
They are probably asking this to put in complaints to others. Some claims companies put in fraudulent/try-it-on complaints to everyone they can in the hope some stick.
I suggest you contact the bank and ask them why they are paying the money to the CMC and why the CMC would hold it up. I suspect the bank will either tell you that they have not considered the complaint yet, not received it or that the CMC is telling complete BS.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi I have just received an email from bank smart and there reason for wanting my credit file is 'We require a copy of your or your husband's credit file as this contains precise details of the agreement(s) you have. Often claims can be considerably delayed or even be lost when no evidence of the loan/services are provided and viewing a copy of your credit file can help greatly in this respect as well us to ensure that the maximum settlements and refunds are paid to you.' any thoughts thanks:T0 -
Sounds like they are attempting to get more information from you that they dont need. Also notice how the story has changed? Before it was to release funds. Now it is stop a complaint being delayed.
The bank doesnt need details of the original agreement unless it no longer holds any records. A credit file only holds the last 6 years. Banks only destroy records older than 6 years. So, it is not required for that purpose.
Phone the bank and ask them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
