Facebook promotion guidelines updated

Companies no longer have to use apps, commenting/liking is now allowed but tagging is not is how I understand it - doesn't mention anything about sharing though?

Maybe they realised so many companies were doing it anyway and they couldn't enforce the app rule.

if the example in the PDF is now "legal" they've made a significant number of changes to the old rules.

As well as what's mentioned, it also seems to include being able to only use FB as a means of contacting someone, as well as not having to post a disclaimer about the comp not being run by FB itself.

Promotions on Facebook must include the following:
a. A complete release of Facebook by each entrant or participant.
b. Acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
3. Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries” is not permitted).
