Won't not can't. They don't have to put your money on hold when they guarantee a payment. If you were a more important person, they wouldn't insult you.BigCraigJohn wrote: »Rang the bank, they tell me they cant do anything"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. You have more tolerance than me. I can't even be bothered to reply to his patent crap any more, even to mock him.
If it weren't for the post count, I'd call him a troll.urs sinserly,

Authorisation dropped off and touch wood no bounced direct debits so all is well that ends well.
Amazingly enough I got another email off the retailer yesterday informing that a further £75 of stock was unavailable so I received the rest today and i'm waiting for the £75 refund. Disastrous transaction.
Btw how long for a debit card refund?, considering the full amount has already cleared. They say 2 days on the email but its banks.0 -

I dont have any credit cards now anyway, those days are behind me, wouldnt mind a little balance for online orders etc but i'd be lucky to get a pizza on credit with my rating.
The problem with chargeback is if a big retailer goes backrupt then it can be difficult or impossible to get the money back. The liability then goes onto the merchant processor but several times the processor has also gone bankrupt (Imagine if your a small or medium merchant processor with millions be charged back). In this case Visa/MC/Amex would have no funds to get the money back.0 -

Whenever the retailer process the refund. Also not the banks' issue.
