A Couple Of Questions...

I know this will apply to very few cases, but has anybody tried appealing to POPLA on the grounds that the driver was under 18 and therefore can't legal enter a contract?
Also, just after POPLA came in, we seen a flurry of tickets being cancelled by the PPC's to avoid giving out POPLA codes. Have they stopped doing this now, and reverted back to type and just rejecting all appeals?

To my knowledge (and I try to keep up with every published POPLA appeal decision) there have been no published appeal cases on the back of the under-18s.
Again, we know, generally speaking, only of those cases that are raised here/Pepipoo/CAG by reading the hundreds of weekly threads. I don't detect any change of direction by PPCs - one way or the other. That is, I wasn't aware of any wholesale cancellations under threat of POPLA appeals, nor of any increase in appeal rejections at PPC-level.
The only real, noticeable, strategic change of direction is by PE (especially) and CEL in pushing forward on the Small Claims Court front. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
