gas hob standard size

Depending on the worksurface!
If it's a 38mm laminate surface it can be relatively easily enlarged, but if it's a stone/quartz/marble/granite worktop it's a dfferent kettle of fish.
(Not saying it can't be done, just will cost a lot more to do!)

See if you can measure the cut out underneath, the neffs and Bosch are 560 x 490 cut outs which are the biggest cut out of all the 600 hobs. So if the cut out is as above keep with the same manufacturer, as some like zanussi, Electrolux are 555 x 475.0

The size of the hob is irrelevant. Its the cutout size that matters.
All Boosch Neff and Siemens 60/70cm hobs work off the same cutout. If its an Electrolux hob it will most likely take a Neff hob but please check the cutout size before you buy. We’ve had to remove your signature. My current hob which is 58*51 is fitted and working.
Sorry but not sure what you mean by cutout size?0 -

Underneath your hob there is a hole that has been cut into the work surface - the 'cutout'. Your hob is placed over the cutout as some parts of the hob hang downwards and it is (usually) fixed to the work surface from the underneath.
Ideally you will need to know the size of the hole that is 'cutout' from your work surface.0 -
I would double check. Some companies like Ikea have special sizes so that would cause problems. It is hassle and costly to get the wrong size and then cut it up.SECRET OF SUCCESS IN LIFE:

This is exact situation I am trying to avoid. I don't know the cutout size simply because my current hob is fitted and working. All I know is the current hob is 58*51 cm and was expecting that was enough to know what hob size I should go for.0 -
Hi sarah_id1,
What is directly underneath the hob? Is it a built in oven, drawer units or a cupboard?0
