Hi all,
just after a bit of advice if I may.
On Thursday 22nd of August I took my young son to Clacton airshow and we decided to travel by train.
I arrived at Colchester station at 1142am and decided to pay via Ringo(I commute daily from Colchester to London).I received the text confirmation and also an email to say my vehicle had now been parked at Colchester station.
I then withdrew £20 from the station ATM and purchased two tickets for our journey and off we went.
We arrived back to the car at 1700 only to find that a PCN was attached to my windscreen,as you can imagine I was somewhat puzzled.
I inspected the ticket and straight away noticed that the location of the contravention was listed as DISS STATION CP!!! Funny that because I was actually parked in Colchester with a valid 24hr parking session
I got straight on the phone to NCP but to be honest they were not much help and told me go through the appeals process which I later did online that evening.
I had asked to speak to a manager but was told that no one was available..whatever!
My phone was flat so couldnt take a pic of the car at Colchester.
Im annoyed because Im sure that as part of the attendants training he wouldve have been told to check the ticket before he issued it and if he had he would have seen that he put the wrong location into his computer thingy!
Still waiting to hear back from NCP.
Anyone tell me what I can expect?
TIA
Nick

Did you keep the fake PCN itself (because no private one is a 'real' PCN)? I am wondering if a prankster put it on your car, so does it have the correct car reg on it?!
If so then you can either expect the fake PCN scam to be cancelled, or they will reject your appeal and will offer you the second stage appeal = POPLA.
Now, on this forum we know how to win with certain POPLA appeal wording. NCP are easy to beat. So read any threads about POPLA while you wait, here you are in case you need examples of a POPLA appeal:

BTW all private PCNs are always a scam and should never be paid. Read the forum threads! Let us know your outcome and if you do end up having to come up with a draft POPLA appeal, do show it to us first so we can check no strong points of appeal have been missed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Cheers for the reply. It's definitely not a prankster and has the correct reg, I still have the ticket safely in my possession and it was on their system when I appealed on line. Whatever happens I want recompense for the stress and inconvenience its caused me!0

You won't get recompense unless you sue the firm after the POPLA case is won.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
