Foreign currency

Using Travelmoneymax for "delivering" (to home I presume) Australian dollars, best rate is shown as Halifax Clarity credit card! Does this mean that the best deal is to use this credit card whilst abroad to get local currency from an ATM? Surely it cannot be used to "deliver" required currency to home before departure!

Use for purchases or withdraw cash from an atm. If doing the latter you will be charged interest from day 1, but the interest is usually minimal. From my own experience used in France for a week, I pay the card asap after arriving home and it literally costs pennies. Much better rate than buying currency.

    You're right in your assumption.

High commission paid by Halifax to Moneysupermarket seems to overweight everything.
