Housing benefit question

Hey all, I just have a quick questionthat i'm hoping someone could shred some light on. Me and my OH are both currently out of work and receiving Income based JSA, CT reduction and HB/LHA
We're just wondering when we'll get our first HB Payment as LL is asking how much longer he'll be waiting.
Your current claim started on 08 July 2013
Next payment due 02 September 2013
Payment frequency Fortnightly in arrears
Our online account says Previous payment date 22/08/2013 (Entitlement period 08/07/2013 to 18/08/2013) Payment method BACS £858.48
We haven't' received any payments yet but we called to give bank account details on 21st because they hadn't got those of the Job centre with our application
Does anyone know how long it could take to get this first lump sum?
Thanks

You can claim it whenever you give them some bank details. If you've given them already and the £858.48 hasn't yet been credited to your account then it should be in the account tomorrow....which is 3 banking days after the 22nd. Next payment date is the 2nd which you should be able to withdraw on the 5th.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thanks very much
At no point did they explain to us that there was a waiting period after the payment date!
I was starting to worry that something was wrong (Even though it says were active)0
