Hi
Has anybody bought this combination microwave from Lidl.
It is £79.99, with a three year warranty, which seems pretty cheap.
Our combination oven, which cost more than double this one has just packed in. Been to the local department stores and they are about £150, with only a 1 year guarantee.
I've never bought anything electrical from Lidl, in fac t, to be perfectly honest have only been in the shop a couple of times, as the nearest one is a fair way away.
thank you for any input.
As it was last weeks 'deal' no direct link, but there are still some available.
Here's a 'European' link

Just bought a cheap combo from Currys - was £50, I think. The Lidl one has a better spec and a longer warranty.0

Bought a Panasonic 3 years ago, it was in Argos for £260, all singing, all dancing, oven, grill, mirco, 1000w.
Got it as a factory second, with a slight dent on one side, for £65 on Ebay.
Did the same with my oven and my fridge, £550 for £220 and £780 for £280, respectively.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Every electrical item, tool etc and almost all foodstuffs I have bought from Lidl has been excellent quality and excellent value for money.
I saw that Microwave in a Lidl a few days ago. It looks decent quality.
If it is of the size and power you want I think you would struggle to find better value for a new item.
However, like Strider, I usually buy such things in Ebay. I got an unused 40 litre (Lidl is 25 litre) Sharp combination microwave oven a few years ago for about £80.
I also got a new £450 double oven for about £200 plus £45 delivery. It was surplus from a building development and came still shrinkwrapped on the pallet it left the factory on.0 -

Personally, haven't bought the microwave, but other electrical goods I have from Lidl, have all been great, no problems (so far), and had them all a fair while, as in over 4 years.0

Update !
I bought one and it is very good indeed.0 -
I've bought various power tools, kitchen appliances and tools from Lidl in recent years. The quality is generally excellent for the cost, and the support and after sales is brilliant. Buy with confidence!0

A FYI in case this comes up again.
My Lidl microwave just broke, it still cooks but the display's dead. I open and close the door to cook and that the lot.
I bought it for my mum 10 years ago when she had murdered 3 very expensive big brand microwaves that cost over 100 quid, I saw this one for 30 and thought, that'll do her a while at least.
She could actually use it though, pic of spud, weigh the spud, tell it the weight and that was it, same for all other foods.
As for metals, like spoons, it sparked a bit when she left them in there, and it melted handles..but it didn't bother it.
She's gone now a few years and I inherited it. I'll be sad to replace it. Superb machine. 10 years of hammering (I make coffees in it a dozen times a day at least) and it's still trying it's best. For 30 quid. Can't beat that.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
