    Ngggg. Infuriating.

I've had three emails from the *same woman at Amazon saying the same thing (despite me asking her to escalate it for me) apart from her final email, in which she said 'we won't be commenting any further'. (*assuming it is actually a person and not just a title that a whole heap of people use to respond to their buckets of complaints.)

I've never experienced that kind of response before, hardly what I'd call customer service.

I think you're right neilmcl...£20 is probably not worth getting overheated about and wasting my energy on (I already am livid at that last response). I'll just have to vote with my feet and stop using Amazon altogether. Not that they'll be concerned in the slightest, but it'll make me feel better! :(

I just hate to think that they will do this to so many people who mostly give up like I have. It's not about the twenty quid at all, really.

Right. I'm off to search for hairdryers at Co-Op Electrical instead!

This could be the best thing to happen to be honest. It'll save me a fortune in impulse buys from Amazon..

    Thanks for your advice everybody.
    Best wishes
    Lucy
  • Hi, I have brought a pasta machine from amazon for a birthday present and unfortunately when opened it was damaged. Amazon have agreed to exchange, but to do this I must myself print of the returns label, however I do not have the facilities to do this. I have explained this and they have stated they are unable to post the returns labels to me because they're in the Caribbean (nice ehh!!)... So now what??? They are unable to offer me a solution and am left pondering how and when I am able to get access to a computer (very frustrating when its intended for a gift and the recipient is not local!!) We're not all in easy reach of these things or have the time to hunt them down!

Wow, that is a bit of a quandry. I have to admit that Amazon were good a few weeks back when we had to return a tin opener (yup) and Yodel didn't collect it. They sent another carrier who didn't actually need a label on the parcel. I'm surprised Amazon haven't offered this up as an option as they do use different carriers. It might be worth asking them if this is possible? Especially if they were willing to do it for a faulty £5 tin opener..

Hope you get it sorted. My new hairdryer from Co-Op is fab, far better than my old one which is down the tip. That was the best way I could sort my Amazon problem out, unfortunately.
