Valley of the Assassins by Leo Kessler - classic WWII adventure free on Kindle.

    Tehran, 1943.

Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin plan a high level conference that will decide the course of the war. Their meeting poses the deadliest threat so far to Hitler's Germany - and it's most vital target.

The Führer himself gives orders for an elite assassination squad to be unleashed. Swept from their harsh training grounds in the Alps, across Southern Russia, and dropped deep behind the Enemy Lines, Stormtroop Edelweiss are the obvious and the only choice for the mission.

But Colonel Stuermer and his men know all too well that the Allied Headquarters is virtually impregnable. And that first they must cross the desolate Elburz Mountains, thick with Russian ski troops, and guarded through the centuries by the most savage native tribesman known to man.

Can they reach their target and change the course of the war?

Or will the Valley of the Assassins add them to its many victims.

'Valley of the Assassins' is a spectacular and gripping wartime adventure story. It is perfect for fans of Chris Ryan, Andy McNab, Sven Hassel and Matt Lynn.

"A classic wartime adventure from a master of the genre." - Tom Kasey, best-selling author of 'Trade Off'.

"A plot worthy of Alistair MacLean, written with the flair of James Patterson. A storming read for fans of World War II action." - Jack Hayes, author of Overtime.

Leo Kessler was a prolific author of World War Two adventure stories, who based his stories on his active service during the war in France, Belgium and Germany.

A Better Life by Frankie McGowan is free on Kindle this week -

When Anna Minstrel's father re-marries soon after the death of her adored adoptive mother she is shocked. And his new, but very dull family, leaves her feeling isolated.

But with a demanding job as a producer of a daytime TV show and a satisfying relationship with spin the doctor Oliver Manners, Anna tries to hide her battered feelings.

Then suddenly into her life erupts Sophia, her Italian birth-mother, who wants Anna to forgive her and come to Rome.

Her mother’s family, the Grescobaldis, fabulously wealthy and hopelessly immoral, captivate Anna.

But in Sophia, a woman who is clearly an outsider, Anna finds echoes of her own life with her father’s family.

Against the advice of the Grescobaldis' disturbingly astute lawyer, Anna sets out to help Sophia, with devastating results.

How could she know that it would change all their lives forever?

Or that her search for 'A Better Life' would end in such drama.

'A Better Life' is a moving family story that will grip readers from the first page to the last.

'Compulsively readable, witty and astute.' - The Yorkshire Post.

Bride And Gloom: sometimes love is better off blind.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00G7RQ0TK/ref=nosim

In the first book of the ‘Sometimes love …’ series, ‘Dating in the Dark: sometimes love just pretends to be blind’, Jason Harding thought he’d committed the ultimate betrayal. No, not cheating; he pretended to be, you guessed it, blind. For Emma, the woman he was stupid enough to think he was fooling, it wasn’t anything like a betrayal. It was both sweet and sad at the same time and, as people in relationships have a tendency to do (if they don’t split up because of one party’s wild lies), Emma and Jason decide to get married.

Just how Jason manages to deal with the huge life change that is marriage is what this book is about. From getting his specially made suit tailored to his short height, to trying to keep a lid on his best man’s plans for a wild weekend in Liverpool, he is going to struggle to make to through to the wedding without having a full nervous breakdown. His second best friend, Boris, also returns in this book, although he has lost his taxi, his wife and his ability to seem sober even when he’s drunk six litres of vodka.

Jason is foolish enough to add Neil, Emma’s wayward cousin, and Terry, the owner of Jason’s favourite fish and chip shop, to his list of groomsmen. This is the fairly tragic band of men that are to ensure Jason makes it to the church on time, in possession of both his of his eyebrows and, of course, the rings …

Top Secret Service agent Jack Coben is the man you want in your corner, protecting your life, and he is fighting the expansion of the Secret Service. It's too much, too fast, and would see the agency swallowed into the sprawling morass of federal forces. It's sloppy, crazy, and people are going to die.

But when a heart-breaking accident hits Coben's family, and his wild response forces him from the frontline, it looks to be over for this thorn in the side of authority. Dumped in a backwater project, and with almost no resources, to have any hope of redemption and prove them wrong, this tragic father must find a way to survive and then fight his way back.

Trapped in a backwater spy project for his sins, exiled Secret Service agent Jack Coben’s new team of techo-spooks help him to pull off an unauthorised overseas mission. His chance for a comeback looks hopeful until an assassination attempt on the President. The brass need a fall guy. But they've picked on the wrong man.

    The Eyewitness Protocols, Episode 3

The president was shot. The clock is ticking on exiled Secret Service agent Jack Coben, lined up to be the patsy for the massive security failure. But he is called up by the injured president and asked for help. However, not everything is as it seems, and Coben must drive his own investigation before it is too late for both of them.

    The Eyewitness Protocols, Episode 4

Jack Coben, an exiled Secret Service agent with his own personal troubles, is being framed as the fall guy for the security failure but he is fighting back. Helped by his team of techno-spooks, and with the clock ticking down, they must discover what the secretive President was hatching before the shooting. But they also learn the Terror Cells are still active.

A grab is made for control of exiled Secret Service agent Jack Coben’s spy team after the unit unearths breakthrough evidence of events, and shadowy figures at work, before the assassination attempt on the President.

The attack on America is not over. Terror Cells are still active, VIPs are being picked off, and the noose is tightening on Coben to be the fall guy for all that is going wrong.

    The Eyewitness Protocols, Episode 6
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Eyewitness-Protocols-Episode-6-ebook/dp/B009ACU8TM/ref=pd_sim_kinc_4
Hunting for the truth over the assassination attempt on the President, and stop himself being made a patsy for others' failures, exiled Secret Service agent Jack Coben's dogged investigation survives despite the odds, and throws up a strange discovery.

Coben's team has uncovered a cabal of VIPs, linked somehow in opposing the President's secretive plans, but their numbers are falling. Fast. People are turning up dead, and those remaining panic. Are they targets of Terror Cells that look to have infiltrated government, or something else? Fingers start to point at the strained agent. In his battle to survive, is he spinning out of control?

    The Eyewitness Protocols, Episode 7
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Eyewitness-Protocols-Episode-7-ebook/dp/B009CZLAWQ/ref=pd_sim_kinc_2

Delusions. Murders. Desperation. They've got exiled Secret Service agent Jack Coben marked as a madman who was allowed to run wild for too long, an attack dog unleashed by a President trying to survive politically after an assassination attempt.

What is to question? Everyone knows Iran attacked America, and some very important people want a furious retaliation launched - unless that country surrenders. But they have a problem: the injured President does not believe the claims around the attempted assassination by terrorists, or is it because he has his own agenda underway?

Coben was to be the patsy for the great security failure. But he has made shocking discoveries about the Terrorist Cells and their apparent domestic infiltration. However, the net is closing on the agent, and the terrorists are ready to strike again…this time inside the White House.

    The Eyewitness Protocols, Episode 8
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Eyewitness-Protocols-Episode-8-ebook/dp/B009J6RY5U/ref=pd_sim_kinc_4

Secret Service agent Jack Coben’s discoveries about the assassination attempt on the President have shaken the foundations of his world. But now the agent has a target, and an audacious plan to strike back at the terror force - and the wily mastermind behind the shooting.

However, in his final battle to protect life, it is Coben's belief about death that will deliver ruin or redemption.
