Lewis Waterman and Query Regarding Ongoing Claim

Hi,
About three years ago I decided to approach Black Horse finance regarding PPI that had been levied onto a loan I had taken out, even though I was self employed at the time I had been informed that I would not receive a loan without taking it out. Now this was in 2005 but the loan had been topped up a few times, each one a new agreement though but PPI had been added to each one.
I was working in Europe at the time, even though my home address was still the UK and as I was only home for one weekend in every three I decided to go via a PPI company and chose Lewis Waterman as they had the cheapest fee.
There were three loans, one from 2005, one from 2006 and another from 2007.
It took around 26 months to get any redress and when it came it was for one of the loans, I contacted the FOS (something that I had to do quite often as Lewis Waterman are not a communicative company) and they told me that the claim they had was for one loan only. I then contacted Lewis Waterman who told me that they had only put one claim in rather than the three. This had not been communicated to me by them and to be honest I would advise people to stay away from them as a service as they haven't been reliable in anyway whatsoever, only becoming communicative when they want paid.
My question is - can I subsequently try, on my own, to claim for the other two loans? Even though they are 8 and 7 years old I have the loan agreements on my hard drive. I am really a bit baffled on how to proceed as I still have, as an estimate, about 4 to 5 thousand PPI charges that I possibly could claim back and I don't want to just shrug and not try.
Thanks

par for the course with claims companies. Most just put a stamp on the envelope containing your template letter complaint and sit back and wait to be paid.My question is - can I subsequently try, on my own, to claim for the other two loans?
You will need to read your contract with the claims company. However, if no complaint has been submitted on the other loans, then there is no logical reason why you cant DIY and not use the claims company.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

I have already written to them and the FOS releasing Lewis Waterman to any rights pertaining to my claim. It was mostly the age of the claims that I was concerned about and the fact that one has been settled.
Thanks for your reply.0 -
They tell you you're entitled to thousands back to lure you in.
No one is entitled to anything automatically, and they are also lying about amounts because how would they know?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
