Which credit cards offer the best exchange rates?

Do any still offer no-fee for transactions. (Post Office and Nationwide used to, didnt they?)

I do not want a pre-load card.

Halifax Clarity is great abroad, no fees for transactions, cash withdrawals amount to pennies in interest if repaid asap. We also use Aqua Reward (but no longer being issued) and Nationwide as back-ups, both 0% for transactions.. Other posters on here also suggest Post Office, as you mentioned, but no personal experience of this card.

Aqua Card is good. Great Rates no Fees and 3% cashback.

    Poor limits though

I was just about to apply for a Halifax clarity card

to take to the USA.I was reading the requirements and it states:

    You must
NOT have a credit card with us already

I have a halifax mastercard (basic) which i kept meaning to cancel.(cashback card)

Do you think if i cancel this i can apply? as i dont know what other options i am left with.

Not available since April this year. There is another Aqua card (Advance) that is perfect for purchases abroad, but cash fees are not great. APR is 39.9% up to 59.9% for cash. Good if you don't have a good credit score, but use a different card for cash.
