Afternoon all,
just wanted to say hello to you all and to wish Rosyred a happy birthday.
All is well with me but i'm not posting much. Hubby and son are still doing 12 hour shifts but ive been filling my time doing other things.
We took our baby Grandson out the weekend for an hour. As a reward weve been asked to have him overnight on Saturday as my daughter and her partner have been invited to a party. Grandad is over the moon and i'm wondering if I can cope with the night feeds. Still, i'm up with the dogs so it wont be much different to normal except I'll have a baby screaming his head off when he wants feeding.
Unfortunately the dogs will be banished from the bedroom for the evening. I can see that being fun (not).
Baby Una at the baby house is doing well. She had a blood transfusion a few days ago which has boosted her immunity and she is doing so much better. Theres talk of her being returned to my daughter and her partners' care.
Not much else going on but i'm enjoying the sunshine!
Julie67 I hope all went well with the ultrasound.
Have a good day all,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all,
Happy Birthday Rosy Red and Donny Gals DH.
My Ultrasounds showed I have a cyst on my ovary. Nothing to worry about, only small but they will keep an eye on it. Never had anything like that before so was a surprise. Anyone have any experience of this?
Just done a couple of eBay listings. Managed to get my books back to the library. Taxi there and back not very cost effective but I have no choice at the moment.
Not heard anything from my son so hoping that he has had a good first day back at work.
Bye for nowStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning :hello:
Happy Birthday Rosyred :bdaycake:
glitterkitty well done on your craft sales :T What do you make? Would love to see some pics. Love it when someone starts their own craft biz
Mr tru is back to work so I can straighten up his wonky DIY :rotfl:
Today I'm going to paint the ceiling, have challenged myself not to get paint in my hair
I cut up some MDF for shelves for the hall cupboard. I spent ages getting them just right, including cutting bits out to fit around the huge gas pipe that goes up the back wall. The pipe hasn't been in use for years but it's so thick that I couldn't cut through it to remove it, so I left it inMr tru wanted to put the shelves up so I brought them in and propped them against the kitchen wall – and they stayed there for months, ggrrrrr. He put them up yesterday, I need to paint them but have filled them for now, I'm not starting a new paint job before the bathroom is finished. I keep opening the doors and admiring the nice neat rows of stationery, craft supplies, etc.
The printer, laminator and sewing machine finally have a proper home.
First load of washing is on the line, second is in the machine and there's another load waiting to be done. I need to do the final coat of paint on a window sill and a small shelving unit for the bathroom. Mr tru pulled up loads of carrots yesterday so I'll be scrubbing, chopping and freezing them. I've scrubbed the cooker and cleaned the chickens out. I'm full of energy today, hopefully it'll last

I make keyrings, bag charms, bracelets, photo frames etc... have a look :-)

Afternoon all!
Was out early this morning as I had to go to occupational health doctor, after a long chat we have decided I will try a phased return to work after my holiday, so the second week in October. If I stay off any longer I will be anxious about going back, so sounds reasonable and at least now I have a date to plan towards. Just need to get this weekend over with, apparently his aunt and uncle are coming at the end of the week so they are here to give me some moral support, I will be up with the birds and off on Friday to avoid them, it will be hard enough surviving what would have been our wedding day without them advising me to go out and find a new man!!!!!!
Anyways, have a rotten cold and just want to curl up. Diet coke chicken is simmering in the pot as DD's boyfriend is coming for dinner and it was quick and easy, once its about ready I will switch it off and go for a snooze I think!
Enjoy whats left of today...
Oh, and Happy Birthday Rosyred!!!!!!RIP Iain

Just stopping by to wish a Hoppy Birdday to RosyRed and Mr DG:bdaycake:
Dogs have had their walk, and I've done their postcard to take home with them - they're due to be picked up at 09:30 tomorrow morning. I need to groom them in a bit, but want my hands to recover from doing the postcard first - writing is so darned painful these days, and writing legibly is doubly so!:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon,
Many thanks for the lovely birthday wishes :A,& never realised its Mr Donnys too so hope he also has a nice day.
I've just got back from lunch out with my old friend, she took me somewhere I havent been to before, near where her daughter lives that she's been to.Had a steak sandwich on sourdough bread with chunky chips & it was lovely, but I couldnt eat it all,it was huge. Then we had a look round a mill shop though we didnt buy anything.I've had some nice things but the best is yet to come on Sunday-:j:j we bought a puppy last Friday, she's not ready to leave Mum just yet, another mastiff, and I think she'll turn out the same colour as Leo,she's a dark brindle and seems a sweet character so we're very excited. When my friend was driving us back we passed the pet cemetery where Max and Leos ashes are scattered .I've never actually been so my friend drove in for a moment and I had a little word with them, and told them about their new sister
.Glad I've seen it now,its a pretty & peaceful spot.
No OS to speak of today, apart from my fight against the little fruit flies plaguing us at the mo,vinegar traps, which seem to be catching the little blighters ok.
Called at my brothers yesterday as he left something when they came, and my Sis IL gave me a juicer when she found out we were doing it,saying DS2 can have it for when he moves into his house as its been in the shed doing nothing-so got 2 now! I'm experimenting to see if one is better than the otherPineapple, raspberry & apple today.
Judi- glad the baby is faring better, and that your babysitting went well.
Jools- that'll be a hard time coming up for you, don't blame you for taking off for the day.
Hugs to everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Evening All,
Sorry for my lateness, I tried to post earlier but the "reply" page wouldn't load up.
RosyRed - glad you have had a lovely day for your birthday.
Nmlc - loved your riposte to your OH over the diesel incident.
Granny Judi- what a lovely Saturday/Sunday you have ahead of you!
Julie - glad they have discovered your problem cyst. They can be removed if necessary, but normally just monitored until they become a problem.
Jools - phased return to work is very sensible after such a break. There's nothing worse than well-meaning relatives!
Meanmarie I wasn't too far from you, my cousin lives between Mountmellick and Port Laoise. We had a lovely weekend. GS had a whale of a time playing with their collie dog. Not sure who got tired out first! :rotfl:
Have a lovely evening everyone :beer:0 -

My daughter suffers with ovarian cysts but the only time they have ever given her a problem is when she was pregnant. Don't do anything like that and you should be fine Julie :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

I'm not sure if the newest like on my Facebook page linked earlier is from someone on here, or someone who picked up my card yesterday, but if it was someone on here, thank you! :-)
