You can spend them in Argos. Just give your Nectar card to the cashier and say you want to use points. They should be able to tell you how much is available and you can choose how many points you want to spend. If you don't have enough points then you can top up the rest of the bill with card or cash.

I assumed it would be automatic once she swiped my nectar card. Ok thanx.

You need to tell the cashier at point of payment (or click the "redeem points" on the self service tills) in order to use them.

went to Sainsbury's with the card and yeah - you can't use them for fags

    also the card wasn't registered

so it's registered in cyberspace on the website but not in the real world :(

there's a phone number to ring but I can use a piggy bank and cut out the crap technology and a phone conversation which I know will be someone telling me to go online like it's some kind of magical cure-all because it involves a computer!

(am I the only person in the world that knows half of this technology DOESN'T WORK!!)

the nectar card flung in the back of the kitchen drawer where it was sat for 2 years until the technology improves :j

THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES THO xx

I rang the number today and apparently they hadn't informed Sainsbury's staff that nectar cards take 24 hours to register in every store you want to use them in

what a pathetic system! now I would have to trek to an out of town superstore register the stupid card and GO BACK the next day to use it!!
