l have a 8gGB samsung galaxy2 tablet and decided to buy a 32GB SD micro card for extra storage as l only have about 3GB storage left on the tablet..
So l bought a 32GB card today and put it in and in setting found the storage device and it says l have 29.49GB Total space for the card and l have not put anything on it yet... so can anyone tell me where 2.5GB has been used ...
Also as l have not used a SD card before how do l get photos, music and films off my computer onto my card...
Thanks

Oh and also meant to ask if it needs formatting...
There is a section which says..
"Format SD card
Deletes all data on sd card including music and photos.."
l have'nt put anything on yet, so do l format the card,,,
What does format the card mean..0 -
Here's a formula to convert retail size to actual size. This assumes that the manufacturer is using 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes (instead of 1GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes as they should).
Actual Drive Size = Retail Drive Size * 0.9310 -
It's a good idea to format a new card on the device that will be using it.
There are apps which you can install on the tablet. But I find it easier to move files on my tablet with it connected to my laptop - then I can use Windows on the laptop to move them.0
