Chaps and Chapettes,
Does anyone know who's the absolute cheapest for Baked Beans? Tesco and ASDA are tied at 25p for the budget ones, SPAR 38p, B&M 29p. Anyone got below the magic 20p?
Thanks!

I'm afraid I have fixed ideas on the ones I like best: Branston.
I stock up on those when they are 4 for £1 (usually in Asda every couple of months). I can live with 25p for my favourite beans. Farmfoods have them at 33p if I'm desperate but beyond that I think I'd buy the occasional tin or take them off the menu until the offer came round again.0 -
According to my supermarket, the value/smart price ones you mentioned are the cheapest at 25p
- not sure that Lidl/Aldi would be any cheaper for unbranded baked beans0 -
Another vote for the Asda/Branston deal of 4 tins for £1.
Tescos run a similar offer but it's £1.27 for 4 so I just wait for Asda to bring theirs back and stock up with about 2 month's supply.
At 25p per tin for Branston, the cheaper ones stand no comparison for taste and texture and even Heinz seem pale and watery alongside.0 -
I think Morrisons value beans are 19p, but as someone else who prefers Branston beans, I can't be certain.0

I love Branston beans, and when they are so cheap you would be a fool not to get them; as has been said before, money saving is not about the absolute cheapest, but the best value for moneykingfisherblue wrote: »I think Morrisons value beans are 19p, but as someone else who prefers Branston beans, I can't be certain.
I was trying to find their beans on the website, but couldn't. I think they are cheap though.
I am wondering why the OP is asking?"Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -
Agree Branston are best, always gets lots when they go down to £1 for 4.
Lidl always have their own brand at 4 for a £1.0 -
I used to stock up on Branston ones when on offer 4 for £1 but having recently switched to Lidl to our shopping I have tried the Lidl Campo Largo ones 33p each of 4 for £1 and they are great. No complaints from hubby or little girl :-)0

I'm moving out soon (next week hopefully) to my new place. Working 30 hours a week on near minimun wage, so best to keep costs down.
I'm shocked at the sheer volume of replies though! Cheers!0
