Google Checkout Security Problem!!!

There is a really serious security problem with Google Checkout.
If you lose internet connection for any reason when logged into your Google Checkout account (or you exit Google Checkout by closing the browser window) you will find that the next time you want to log into your account you do not have enter your registered e-mail address or password!
I rang Google, but they refused to put me through to anyone to discuss the problem!

If it's a small amount of time, it shouldn't lose your password and user name. I doubt it's a security issue, as if you have a secure firewall and anti-virus program, no one will be able to access your account.
It's the same with amazon, ebay, paypal and practically every other place I've bought from. Stop being so paranoid."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Its a local security issue not a network one so the issue is tiny and infact would probably be the same for 99% of banks paypal etc.0

It is simply not tue to say the same applies to all the other websites you mention. It certainly does not apply to PayPal! There are session cookies for Google Checkout which persist for 20 minutes if a session ends other than by 'logging out'. Google Checkout is the only financial website I have ever used that will maintain session cookies for terminating other than by logging out.eyelinerprincess wrote: »If it's a small amount of time, it shouldn't lose your password and user name. From the way you posted, I assumed you meant a small amount of time, such as a few moments before you reconnect, and I can assure you, I can close amazon, then reopen it 5, 10 minutes later and I'll still be logged in."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Yeah it does, I just tried it! Logged in, then closed the window, opened a new one, and went to the home page. It came up showing I wasn't logged in, but I clicked on send money and then back to my account and I was logged in again, without entering my email address or password.Paul_Varjak wrote: »It certainly does not apply to PayPal!0 -
ditto with amazon, and for more than five minutes."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
