Free CRM Software

Hi

I am looking for a free CRM software that must be accessible online, I'm not sure if i should be looking at open source or otherwise.

I work in sales for a small company where i am cold calling potential, suspect and prospects etc and currently use a spreadsheet to record info. We have been offered some software by a company we deal with but we are concerned that all my hard work will be siphoned off by them so we don't wish to use their system.

I don't know how extensive the free software gets but any help, suggestions of features I should look out for is a big help.

Also it would be great if there was some sort of email integration tool where i could send a lead without copying it all no outlook email to my boss to follow it up.

Thanks

Without specifically stating that the above post is spam does anybody else find it strange that it suggests a domain less than a year old from a user with no other posts.

The posting time is suspicious to me too as the original question would have sunk below visibility suggesting it was found from a full web search.

A godaddy domain with an anonymous owner doesn't help either.

The lines between ERP and CRM and mass-mailing system dissolve year on year.

I used ERPLY for a while, they used to have a free tier worth investigating.
Tools like mailchimp, constant contact, etc may also be a look, depending on exactly what you want from a system.
Zoho have a CRM app which integrates closely with google apps/gmail

Options are too numerous for there to be a 'best', but some of the baove leads might be useful

Thank you Paddy for your suitable response. ERPLY looks interesting, though my company doesn't wish to use something that advanced now. just a crm system so we can streamline and work in an efficient manner than our current system as i described earlier.

Most Cpanel software (web hosting control panels) come with Softaculous which usually comes with a host of 1-click installable (CRM/ERP) plug-ins.

The list I took from my ultra-cheapie host is as follows:

    Vtiger CRM
    SugarCRM
    Dolibarr
    FrontAccounting
    OrangeHRM
    SimpleInvoices
    EPESI
    Tine
    EGroupware
    Zurmo
    X2CRM
    OpenBiz Cubi
    webERP

But there's lots and I haven't used any.

Not convinced about holding stuff like this online.
And don't get me started on 'cloud' stuff and why there's one of these people in the Dragon's Den!

Nothing inherently wrong with centralised data stores or web-based apps, it's the quality of the implementation that makes the difference. The Cloud is just a bunch of regular servers, often with the advantages of virtualization for on-demand instancing etc - plus a bit of marketing bull. However, Dragons Den should not be mistaken for anything other than a self-promotion vehicle and reality TV entertainment format.
