Sports Direct Pricing Question

Taking a long shot here and not expecting all too much but got to ask.
I bought some football boots from the Sports Direct website for £37.99 and then when they came they had a big sticker on the side of the box saying £31... I know I agreed to the price but it just seems like they're laughing at me basically.
I've sold things on eBay before for more than I've originally bought them before, knowing they'd sell for more than I bought them for but had the courtesy to take off the original price sticker before sending them to the buyer.
Anyway, anything I get do to get £6.99 back off them?

Write it off to a bad experience - Sports Direct laugh at all their customers. You definitely have no right to a refund.0

How do you know it's not a different box?
If you can find them elsewhere for £31 (in-store?) then just return them under DSRsOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -

They charge for postal returns, and if the OP returns to store he is going to incur the costs of making such a visit. Plus he will have to endure the jungle that is a Sports Direct store!0 -
It says on the side the exact same model name.halibut2209 wrote: »How do you know it's not a different box?0 -
Seeing it's a sticker how do you know it wasn't just stuck there by mistake? I work in retail and have seen goods with all sorts of stickers on they shouldn't have. Someone could have pealed it off to stick on something else, dropped it & not saw where it went and it just stuck to yours.0

Why's this a bad experience? (especially based on SDs standards of service).
Op bought a product, paid the agreed price and received the product with no indication of any problems with it. Sounds like a standard and perfectly acceptable transaction to me.0 -
So you wouldn't be miffed at paying £38 for something which arrived with a £31 price sticker on it?Why's this a bad experience? (especially based on SDs standards of service).

Of course you would be, but I expect that from Sports Direct and will do anything not to buy from them, unless their offer beats their competitors by pounds.
In your situation I would write them an email saying that you are asking to return them under DSR unless they are willing to sell them at the marked price. They will probably refuse and it will cost you the P+P or you just keep them if you don't want the expense.0
