P4 parking ticket ignored and now get letter from TNC parking service.

I got a letter from TNC asking £100 for their client P4 parking. Should I ignore all these letters? I'm the owner of the car but don't think I was driving it on the day the ticket was issued (I never see the original P4 parking ticket, either. My friend who was driving the car mentioned it about two months ago but we decided to ignore it as we are visiting someone who is staying in that private land, we just don't show the guest parking permit.).

Was it headed notice to keeper and is it the first letter you have received?

Even though you started out on a thread where it was spelt out that the rules and advice differ in Scotland, you haven't mentioned in this new thread the most important fact = that the incident happened in Edinburgh!

I presume you've searched the forum for the single keyword 'Scotland', having seen the advice already on that other thread to do exactly that? To help you, there are even two other Scotland threads on page 1 or 2 of this forum board as I type (by MimosaDR and TrickyNicky).

It headed with my name, the keeper and yes, it is the first letter I have received.

Thanks, I was originally posted this in the thread which you linked in your post. I was adviced to start my own thread by some member so I started this one.

Yes, it happened in Edinburgh. I'm going to take your kind suggestions and ignore those letters. Will update if thing move on. Many thanks.

I am in a similar situation. TCN have asked for £100 on behalf of their client P4 Parking. I have never heard of the company hence the research. I never received a parking ticket in the first instance.

What did you do? Did they continue to ask for the money? Dud the fine increase? Did you appeal? What happened when you appealed? Apologies for the questions just need some help on how to go about this?

You do need to start a new thread of your own, as we work on the basis of 'one case, one thread' so advice doesn't become confused and/or we have a complete free for all with any number of random cases being tagged on.

But first of all you do need to read thoroughly the NEWBIES FAQS sticky at the top of the forum index (one page back from here) which will give all of the initial information you need. It was written by Coupon-mad, one of the country's most knowledgeable people in dealing with private parking tickets. You won't find anything more comprehensive than this anywhere online.

The sticky is detailed and you might need a couple of 'passes' to digest it, so bite sized chunks with a cup of tea over a couple days might be the best approach. You do need to make the effort to do some research via the sticky before asking for further help from regulars - we are so busy each day it's impossible to type and constantly repeat basic information - hence the sticky with all that stuff covered. But do come back after reading it if anything isn't clear to you.

BUT - via a new thread of your own please.

Please use the Forum Jump on the right, click 'GO' then read the top threads, especially the one for NEWBIES to 'read first'! Obviously you appeal, come on, get to the top of the forum instead of scraping the barrel by reading the bottom 'archive stuff' from 2013 that pops up when you randomly Google the subject. One click gets you to the current advice!
