Distance selling and "personalised" items

I cancelled by email on the day under DSR.
They responded today saying I couldn't cancel as it was a customised item, but they would speak to " senior management" and get back to me.
I visited DSR rules and here before responding as above.
Other posts are just to prepare me if they come back tomo with some excuse

Yes, you are right.
a) if they hadn't been so obstructive straight off, there is a replacement I would have ordered as I already know it suits mum and is manouverable in our house
b) I always praise good service as it is as important as complaints, so would have gone on their website and recommended them.

So companies like this should realize that the internet age opens them up to lots more customers, but also opens companies reputation up to lots more people to comment on !
