Foreign buyers

I've been away for a few days, and I've just remembered, I had some joker send me a message on one of my items that he apparently has bid on - I don't want to check this second and the message only came through just as I was about to go away.

But, it's for an item that's around £10 or sub £10 and the postage is £3.99, which basically covers 2nd class signed for with a Jiffy bag, after Paypal's cut.

I'm not sure whether this guy is just on a wind up or is for real, but the message went something along the lines of, Hi I'm just bid/purchased your item, I'm in sunny Oz, I'm just checking that the postage covers the cost ot sunny Oz, 'cause I had a problem in the past with items bought and the postage didn't cover the cost to Oz and I just wanted to check on the postage cost.

He's either sitting back in his chair, chuckling to himself at my expense or he is raving mad is he seriously thinks that you can a parcel (online tracking included) to the other side of the world, short of wrapping it in a plastic bag, chucking it in the sea and hoping the tide does the work.

I'm not as clued up as I used to be on ebay, as far as I know I've set all my options to UK only, but when I was a gold powerseller, I knew it was almost impossible to stop foreign buyers, they do things like register the Paypal account as UK, but with a foreign shipping address. I don't bother to put UK only in the listing, because the buyers with a brain will ask if you ship abroad and the ones without a brain will ignore 'UK only'.

Any tips on the best way to extract myself from this situation? I don't want to ship to Oz, I am more than happy to have neg feedback and for Paypal to get upset. What I want is minimum effort and cost upon my part.
