Why would I need PPI?

Options
Hi

I've had a text from MBNA asking me to call them, after sending them back my questionnaire which they asked me to fill in.

I filled this in to the best of my knowledge and truthfully so I can't get my head around why I would have needed PPI.

My circumstances were as follows -

Employed Full time 10+years

I'm sure I would have received full pay for at least 6 months if off sick (I need to double check if it was longer as I thankfully never needed it and have now left the company)

I had savings (I reckon around 5-6K)

Now I have no intention of trying to make up stories to try and get money I'm not due, but with the above criteria, would I have needed PPI?

I'm not the sort who would tick a checkbox for it, so would it possibly have been selected by default? Still find it strange I would have missed it if the case.

As I said at the start though, I filled in the questionnaire to the best of my knowledge which was that I couldn't remember how I got PPI or how it had been taken out i.e. phone call, online etc....

Any advice greatly appreciated before I call them back!

If you had it, it would have appeared onnevery statement that had an outstanding balance so you couldn't have missed it.
If you paid off your balance every month, you wouldn't have paid any, if you had a low balance you wouldn't have paid much.

PPI on a CC is dependant on how much the outstanding balance is.

There's a slim possibility ti would have been added by deafualt, with either an online tick box, or a pre printed tickbox but it's not likely. It's more likely you chose it or were sold it but have forgottten.
