A landline phone with these features (for my 90 g-aunt)

The features are:
. Corded
. Big buttons
. Stores numbers
. Makes an audio 'beep' when putting the phone back on the hook, like it does with a cordless phone.
She has already got a phone with the top 3 features, but she does not put the handset back on the cradle properly and her daughter who lives nearby has to go round and check the phone etc when she or any relative says the phone has been off the hook.
Cordless phones aren't an option as she is very forgetful and puts the handset down the sofa etc.

Have you looked at Doro? They are designed for older people, there are also specialist phones out there for the deaf and the partially sighted that might be suitable.0

I've had a good look and I can't find one which beeps when the handset is replaced.
Amazon have a Doro for £17.74 including delivery. One reviewer said that the handset makes an audible click when it was replaced.

The only other thing I can suggest is that you pay £1 for a one month trial of Which? magazine and look on there. Don't forget to cancel before the period is up or you'll be charged £9.75 per month.

I've found the Co-op's Independent Living team very helpful for this sort of thing. They have a good range of specialist phones on their website, but I can't see one that specifically states it has an "in-use" indicator, but they're probably worth a call or email.
