not single brick ?

    IIRC English garden wall bond is 3 coarses of stretchers followed by 1 coarse of headers, then 3 coarses of stretchers etc etc etc. It tends to be 9" solid so no cavity... Have you checked the thickness of the brickwork at the door/window reveals ?, if they are 9" + thickness of plaster then they are single skinned(header bricks are laid end on so 9" solid thickness).
