PPI on car loan

Options
I had a car loan from vauxhall in 1999 and paid it off in 2004, I am pretty confident I was sold ppi on it, but don't have any of the details.

Vauxhall have told me they don't have records over 6 years old, and I believe loans from car companies weren't regulated back then.

Does anyone know if I can reclaim the ppi and if so where to start?

Thanks

It is was pre January 2005. So, the car dealer wouldnt need to consider your complaint anyway.
