Where do I start with reclaiming PPI?

Options
I have several accounts including Next, Very, HSBC loan plus credit cards. How do I know if I have been/are still paying PPI and what to do need to do to begin the reclaiming process?

look at your credit card statements as you should be doing each and every month.
what to do need to do to begin the reclaiming process?

There is nothing wrong with having PPI. So, just having it is not enough (although not having it completely rules a complaint out - although that doesn't stop some people). You need to decide what your reasons for complaint are and why you think it was mis-sold. Once you do that, you complain either in writing or by filling in a questionnaire style form.

    Hi,

I paid Egg for PPI on a credit card debt.

I wrote to reclaim it but got a pat response saying I had ticked a box online so it was not missold. This was a while ago. I did not pursue it.

Is it too late to do anything now?

I am having second thoughts now because I think I only clicked for it online after a telephone conversation made me feel it would be irresponsible not to and I was keen to appear worth lending to.

I think I have burned the letter. I don't keep good records of statements etc.

You have 6 months from the rejection to refer to the FOS. After that you are timebarred from.

One of the weakest reasons going. Low success rate but timebarred anyway on that one.
