Hello!
I was wondering if anyone could help me.
My car insurance is up for renewal and I have been looking around for quotes. I have had no issues up until i tried getting a new quote from my current insurer (Swiftcover).
I have been looking around £300 for insurance, however my current insurer declined me. I have looked online and seen a recurrence of threads that Swift are not quoting for business cover again (there were threads in 2007 and now i am seeing a recurrence the last month or so on car forums).
If my renewal (Which i am waiting for) is declined can i account it to being declined based on swift policy and not me? I have no claims, no convictions, 8 years NCD, no declines (previously) yet my insurance has more than doubled due to this and the new car i was getting and could insure at the same price i am paying currently has more than tripled making it to expensive.
I know i should have waited for my renewal but i was curious to know what i would be needing to find to pay for insurance so did it just before my renewal would come out.
EDIT: Equally if my renewal is normal and there is no change to my price can i account it to a Swift error?
Is it possible to phone Swift and ask them or will i not be told why?
I did realise i put the wrong postcode in the first time i was declined - could this be the problem?
Many Thanks in advance.

You no longer fit their customer requirements. If thats the case.
Insurance isnt declined, They are not renewing it. Thats how it should be worded i think.
Always worth asking them though.

Hi,
Nope no claims, no points, no convictions nothing. I was thinking of phoning them and asking to be honest.
I get my renewal in two days (As it is online) so i think i will have to wait to see what that says. - Annoying as they have been very cheap.0 -

There new target audience could be 18 year olds with no claims do you fit that criteria? If not its time to find another insurer.
If they don't quote what it usually means is the quote is too high to be shown0 -
I'm only 25.. lol
Yeah i think that may be what it is, it's very surprising and bit of a poor business model to just price your current customers out the market. Especially as reviews are what people often use to determine whether to stay with an insurer.0
