Finally my first NSD in what feels like ages.

NSD # 9. Nearly at my target. :j:j

Declaring now as we won't be going anywhere later. It gets a bit hectic after 4 o'clock with baba.

Now part of me says that's enough spent & the other part of me says what a meanie to not buy him a wee thing to open on the day.

  • Hello everyone,
I have been struggling somewhat with some sad personal circumstances but I am still trying to get in those NSDs...
I have managed to get in another 4NSDs, could be more but I haven't really been mindful of them. Looking to crack down for the rest of the month so should be on track for target! :)
I hope everyone is well. xxx

Personally I would get a small gift to be opened on the day too. :D

No experience of it myself, other than my mum often buying us gifts that we wanted but then adding to it as she felt she hadn't got us enough, inevitably she would have got us loads.

You don't need to get anything big, and I'm sure he appreciates what you have got him and done for him already.

    Freeby,
    thanks for updating.

    If, that's your best, yet!

I think it's offically Autumn here. It was chilly today despite a more favourable forecast.

Thursday (work) and Friday (me) were spend days but today I have been busy with lots of housework which takes me up to 9. I went grocery shopping yesterday so shouldn't need to go again for a while.

After yet more expenses on Thursday, I managed to have a discussion with my bosses yesterday morning (they now total over £1100) and they agreed it was unacceptable so from next month I am capped at £500 per month. It wasn't quite the result I was after but it's definitely an improvement :D

I hope everyone is well but hugs to those that need them.

Before I reply, just wanted to say that I am totally against some parents who IMO go totally over the top for B'day and Xmas (for example, here's a new iPad, some new top of the range headphones, a new trendy watch, pile of clothes, DVDs, games etc etc etc) I know a few people who do it and their kids, whilst lovely in a lot of other ways, do rather expect this YoY.

However, I'm with ETO about getting him just a little something to open on the day too.

Have decided I will count yesterday as a spend (as I did technically spend) Friend completed her cycle today and has lived to tell the tale

Hoping for a NSD today, went out about 1.30pm to mow the lawn and not long in. Ended up cutting back one of those really evil thorny bushes, which involved two trips to the dump to get rid of it all. It was like trying to manhandle a squadron of hedgehogs into the car  However, you can't really see much difference from the house as it is behind some other plants, and most of it I found was over next doors fence :rotfl:

Oh, but did discover we have a wasps nest burrowed into a wall in the back garden. On of those moments where i was talking to OH and we both stopped and said 'errr...have you noticed a large number of wasps buzzing past'? then discovered said nest. Never seen on underground like that. Think we'll just leave it though, apparently all the drones and workers die when it gets cold and just the queen remains for the winter, but she will nest elsewhere next year (hopefully far far away)

Right, sorry to whittle on - off to soak my aching bones in the (still leaky) bath.

On this, I know of a couple who don't know what to get their kids (7 & 9) as during the year they bought them an iPad each for nothing/ no reason. :(

Due to spending most of the day laid up in bed in pain  I grabbed number 17 (hurling it into the Cauldron of Doom whilst we speak!)
    Must use my stash up!
