from dual fuel to separate

Hello, I'm moving house in a week! Currently on dual fuel, Eon Energy Online. I was going to just have them supply the new flat as I can't deal with the hassle, but as they are making me phone them too much I might as well. My question is that the cheapest dual fuel tarriff on offer to me from the sites is from M&S (with early leaving fee), but it looks like I'd save more from fixed EDF electric and fixed NPower gas, both withous early termination fees. Am I missing something? Is it okay to go with separate energy providers? I input info based on our old post code and the new one using the same energy consumption from the previous year and I get roughly the same results.

Dual fuel is not always the cheapest, a comp site check with your estimated annual kWh figures will reveal all.You wil be in a deemed contract with the existing supplier-you can't switch until you have first registered for an account with them.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Plus don't assume dual fuel (getting gas & electricity from one supplier) is cheapest. When comparing, check the cheapest separate suppliers too.

But you do need to have a supplier to switch a supplier, so as macman says. register with the existing supplier first. :)
