The depreciation on the Dacia is only so low, because its worth naff all to start with.

Or rather, the Dacia is, when new, valued realistically, whereas everyone else's cars are incredibly over-valued?
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

The value of a car and the depreciation is not what really matters.

It's the cost to replace it with a younger vehicle when the time comes, that is more important.

At the moment in the current economic climate, many so called luxury cars are losing around half their value in 2 years.

I buy a 2 year old car and keep it for a further 3 years - then buy another 2 year old one.

I've been doing this for the last 5 cars I've had and it works - for me anyway.

Any new car involves massive depreciation in it's early years - and the more expensive the car - the more I would cry if I had to suffer that loss.

3 year old lexus LS 600h with all the kit you'll ever need, £90k brand new, 2010 models can be had for £27k! If I was the previous owner, I'd be swinging from the rafters. Saving my pennies for one next year.
