Are you saying the account has a £7500 overdraft that's used?

Some banks report 1 payment late on the account to CRAs if you go over your OD or go overdrawn without one.

Just closing your account won't show up as negative I don't think, unless it has an overdraft in which case it will show as default.

No there is no overdraft owe the bank nothing .thank you for your reply's
  • Other banks may offer you a basic account - some may offer you a full account but a credit search will be undertaken.

There's also the YBS Cash Transactor, which is essentially a savings account with an ATM card and facilities to pay bills.

There is, as far as I am aware, no credit check for this account because you cannot get overdrawn. Not sure how they handle charges for any failed DDs etc but hopefully you are on top of this issue now.

coop is strict with three strikes and ur out. but surely u can get a basic acc anywhere else?

I got RBS and nationwide. and to be fair the only different is no overdraft.

count them closing it as a blessing. they're trash!!
