HELP: Questions about what *exactly* happens on exchange day

  • Congratulations indeed:beer::j

    I know where you are coming from to some extent....but I've not had it nearly as bad as you have. I honestly didn't know whether you were going to make it through this or no and was just crossing fingers for you.

    I do understand totally as to why you might just be thinking "Done it" and just be feeling a bit flat right now. My own thing has been going for months now and that's how I feel...maybe tomorrow I will feel different. You have had it WAY worse than I did...so I would totally understand if you felt that way.

    I'm Going Home personally and have that to console me (its NOT "home" but I have had enough comments already that my temperament and accent fit so much better with where I am going then where I am:cool:)...but I don't know what your circumstances are and where you are moving to and I DO feel for you and have been worrying whether you will "make it" in the event. Good on ya' that you have and so pleased.

    Have sent you a PM.

    Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
  • Thanks Dibuzz and Dan Dan, very much appreciated. Blood pressure starting to finally deflate now I think. Hope your exchange comes very soon too Dan Dan.

    I am chasing to exchange at the moment just waiting on one simple enquiry which we have beeen waiting for since the 23rd july!! getting a bit sick and tired of it all!
  • agonyjohn: total sympathies. It's the utter lack of control you have over things, I think, that is so frustrating. That is a long time though.. I waited 5 wks for a building regs cert which felt like Chinese water torture or something. Just infuriating. Really hope it comes good for you soon.

  • Great news Moonraker - once you're settled into your new home all the stress you've had of late will (hopefully ;)) be a distant memory :D

    Fingers crossed for everyone else going through it just now - can't believe we've been in our *new* home two years........seems like only yesterday we were in your shoes!
