After picking up yet another screw on a month old tyre which resulted an another new tyre. So far this year I have spent £520 on tyres!, I recently saw in ad in the mens loo at a service station for a product that is put into the tyres to stop punctures, Has anyone used this stuff, if so is it any good, and is there any suppliers in west yorks?

I've used Slime and PJ51 (I think) and both have worked in bike tyres - impressed with the stuff.

You got a link somewhere? I'm amazed that something like this exists, curious to know how it works!

If anything, I'd say that stuff was more of a "get-you-home" at controlled speed device.

It stays like liquid latex inside the tyre and hardens on exposure to air as it emerges through the puncture hole.

I used to use something like that in my lawn tractor tyres which were prone to thorns, but I never did howl down the M1 at 76.99mph on my lawn tractor.
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

I've been impressed by the Ultraseal in my motorbike tyres. When I was taking my CBT I noticed a large nail in the back tyre. When I pointed this out to the instructor, he just pulled the nail out and told me not to worry about it.

I bought the bike after passing my CBT and have done about 5000 miles over the last year. The same tyre is still on it, and has not gone down at all.

I think the same stuff is suitable for car tyres, and am thinking of getting some when I buy new tyres this month.
