My wife opened one of our kitchen units recently and the hinge came away :-

Can this be repaired with any kind of wood filler so that I can put the hinge back on ?

Better to glue wood into the holes, matchsticks, wooden skewers etc or drill holes to take a dowel and re-fix the screws into that.
Alternatively try this (for Blum hinges) or similar.0
