PPI Reclaim Question

Hi
I have had various financial products over the years that may or may not have been subject to unauthorised PPI charges. Amongst these are a loan from First Plus, a Barclaycard and an endowment policy with Scottish Widows. Some of these products date back to the early nineties through to present day.
My questions are;
Is it appropriate to make a claim against a company I had a product with when I don't actually know if a product was subject to unauthorised PPI charges?
How far back in time can I go to make a claim?
What information do I need to provide a company I had a product with I suspect may have been subject to unauthorised PPi charges?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Steve

They aren't normally unauthorised, they are usually agreed to by signing that you do authorise them. The problem is the buyer not reading the terms and conditions before the actual signing of them.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
