Help needed plumbing dishwasher

Hi. I wasn't sure if this is the right place to post my query so apologies to mods if not.
I need some help with a bit of plumbing. Today I got my 1st ever dishwasher (2nd hand from a friend for £50!) but I'm a bit stuck on how to connect the waste pipe. I'm going to connect it under the sink but the sink end is a screw fit and the waste pipe has a rubber end with a jubilee clip so they don't fit together!!
So I could really do with the help of someone with a bit of plumbing know how. I want to avoid calling out a plumber as I can't afford to so if anyone can advise of what I can do (buy connecting parts, fit different hose, etc?) I would be most appreciative.

You need one of these:
to replace your existing sink trap although it may be possible to modify your existing trap to suit.
D/W hose goes over the spigot. Jubilee clip makes sure hose doesn't pop off.

although don't forget to cut off the end of the spigot if you use exactly the same trap as above
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Ooops yes good point - my bad! OP the spigot is moulded with a solid end (bit like an unused tube of silicone or caulk) and you have to cut the end off before putting the hose on.southcoastrgi wrote: »although don't forget to cut off the end of the spigot if you use exactly the same trap as above

This made me laugh because my friend recently had a new kitchen fitted and her husband pulled the dishwasher out SIX times because it kept showing a pump fault but he couldn't find anything wrong with it. He then called in a plumber who took one look at their new kitchen and knew exactly what the fault wassouthcoastrgi wrote: »although don't forget to cut off the end of the spigot if you use exactly the same trap as above
