    Who's failed to stop?

In case you haven't noticed, we have been discussing the problem in general. Sometimes people are injured, and sometimes (as you will see in some similar threads), the trucks fail to stop.

It's to do with the general problem that the OP described. Which we have been discussing.

The problem the op has is the insurance won't play ball.

It was probably less hassle than a crash with a local car!

I've dealt with foreign claims before in Germany (I had a fault accident on one of the Autobahns, and no, speed wasn't to blame), and was amazed at how much easier it is to sort out than a UK-UK driver accident (I end up filling out the forms quite regularly, usually for the fleet, not me)

That is a fair point, but there just seems generally to be more recorded etc abroad.

  • Many thanks for all your input. My brother contacted the mib, as suggested, and they told him his patient passenger could be used as a witness to the accident. His insurance company originally refused to allow this witness, but have now acknowledged they can be a witness. It looks like everything should begin to get sorted out, I will keep you posted.
Have you done everything right in life. If not will you learn and have you changed?
