Head of Valleys Road

From what I remember its been double white lined so much that there is little opportunity for overtaking. Bring back the old three lanes down Clydach Gorge where you would get cars overtaking in both directions at the same time - good test of sphincter control. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. its a no overtaking zone now wich cuts the number of accidents on that road. nothing to worry about0

Driven it a few times.
I believe its a 60mph zone for most.
Expect cars queuing up behind you if you go that slow.
Its a drivers road, great fun and you will get flashed if there is a speed trap ahead.0 -
Plenty of average speed cameras around that area now. Something to watch out for. Be careful0

Fantastic road last time I was up that way. Sounds like they've ruined it now, just like the cat and fiddle.
There's always a minority of plonkers who don't know how to drive such a road who have to spoil it for everyone else.0 -

I'm actually travelling from Merthyr Tydfil to the M50 along the A465 and A40? The maps show plenty of the journey to be dual carraigeway, but the section between nantybwch and Abergevnny still appear as single carraigeway, there seems to be a lot of fataliities along the road, I understand they are hoping to make the whole road dual carraigeway before HS2 is started0 -
The section from the Govilon/Gilwern roundabout (is it still a roundabout?) and the Hardwick roundabout is now dualled. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Just an update completed the journey today, seems to be dual carraigeway all the way back, was very light on the traffic, only a small section of roadworks that appeared to be the only place with ASC in operation.
Thanks for the replies all.0
