Sending package outside of EU

Hi.
I've received a message from someone in Western Australia who is really interested in a couple of my items.
I have all my listings set to UK only and state in each listing that I will only send within the UK. I don't like the idea of sending outside of the UK, but this person seems to buy a lot of similar items from various countries and has good feedback so I'm considering making an exception.
However, I'm not sure about a couple of things. First of all, which is the safest way to send so I'm completely covered should anything go wrong?
Second, would I do best putting both items in the same package or sending them separate?
Third, to send as RM Airsure what is classed as a small packet? The items weigh very little (less than 120g each). Each item is less than 10x12x8cm in size (before packaging).
Finally, is there anything I need to know about sending items to Australia?
Thanks.

Australia has quite a big list of prohibited items that you can't import so you had better make sure that what yo have sold isn't on the list.

Thanks. They are toys, which are on the list, but it says "Children's toys or playthings with a coating that contains excess amounts of toxic compounds such as lead, arsenic and barium."
I doubt they have that and the other person has bought plenty of similar items from the UK without problem judging by their feedback.
Just to add, I haven't sold the items yet nor has the person bid, they just want to know the cost to send the items.0 -
I send 5-10 items per day to Australia, no problems.
at 120g, you can send as a letter, it will either be small packet or printed papers.
If the item ends after 4 Sept, ensure you receive enough to cover the extra postage FVF ebay will be implementing.0 -

I'm sure it'd be too big to be a letter. I just wasn't sure whether they'd be the right size for a small packet or whether they'd be too big for that too, more so if I sent the two items together.
Thanks, it ends within the next few days so it's fine.0 -
Small packet is confusing, as long as it's in the prescribed dimensions, it will go as a small packet - there is no distincition in size as with inland items.0

They have now tried to bid and found they can't. I now have a few messages from the same person about the two items. Still not sure I want to send it though.
I don't believe Airsure gives a signature, is this correct? Would I still have proof of delivery in any other way or is there a better way to send the item so I have proof of delivery?0 -

You don't need a signature unless the sale is £150, soon to change to £750.
None of the RM services are guaranteed to track/pod outside of the UK but Airsure to Aus is very reliable. You need to read the sticky on postage to see what suits your circumstances.0 -

I know I don't need one, but I always like to have proof of postage and proof of delivery.0 -
No, I said you don't need a signature. If you want POD then you can get that with Airsure, but you said.I don't believe Airsure gives a signature
So do you want POD or do you want a signature?
POP on the other hand is free.0
