Nationwide to Santander and back:

With a Nationwide Flexdirect account and a Santander 123 account I'm intending to move, by standing order each month, the required income amount. Will this be acceptable to them ?

It'll be fine, just remember Santander's month is not a calendar one and cycles around the date you opened the account so your SO date needs a bit of a buffer either side of both accounts0

Why use SOs at all?
You'll only be making a maximum of 12 transfers over the initial 12 month FlexDirect deal won't you?
And you'll be logging into both accounts regularly throughout the month to 'check things', so why not do manual transfers whilst you're there?
Then you won't have to worry about statement months vs calendar months, weekends, Bank Holidays, system failures, etc, etc.0
