Balance Transfer with poor credit scoring

I am trying to transfer a balance from a Barclaycard to another 0% card for just 6 months, to avoid paying interest on purchases made recently. A few months back I paid off (or thought I had) a Capital One card but discovered that £13 had been outstanding - presumably interest payable, therefore missed 2 payments. I have since cleared it. I had a period of illness which led to a poor credit history some years back but have done everything I could to improve my credit rating over the last few years. I'm not sure what my credit score looks like now but when trying the pre application check on the MSE forum, the only card coming up as a possibility is Capital One and they say they don't give their card to existing customers. Can anyone suggest what I could do?

Possibly you could try contacting capital one to see if they would offer you a 0% deal on the existing card. Although I suspect that is unlikely in the situation.
Do you have any other open credit cards at all? You could ask them if they will consider offering you a 0% deal on balance transfers on those cards.
Did you try the pre-app check on the fluid card?
What is the APR on your barclaycard? you could try asking if they would consider reducing the APR a bit (long shot but worth a shot if you have no other options).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
