I's sure this has been discussed before but I am struggling to find a similar case. I had an old loan with natwest, probably about 10 years ago I think it was only about 1500-2000 or something like that, I had a letter through from natwest a month or two ago saying i may have been missold ppi. I knew I had it, I understood what it was but when I was taking it out I was told I should take it quite forcefully, so I had it for a couple of months before cancelling it. So thought it wasn't worth claiming for about £20. I have also just received a similar letter from mbna for a virgin credit card, I didn't think I had PPI on this. I have no details on either account, how would be the best way for me to proceed, I was thinking of using a company but the 30+% cut they take makes me want to do it alone!

Claims companies cannot do any more than you can so they have no 'clout'

Just fill the form in to the best of your ability. If you cant remember, just say so, if you don't know, just say so.

My daughter did just this a couple of months ago, 90% of the form was 'cant remember; and she received a cheque a few weeks later for just less than £800.

Honesty is always best. If you lie and get no payout, yu could be asking yourself that if you told the truth then yu might have got a payout if yu see what I mean.
