Home made Christmas presents - with pics

I thought I'd start a thread with pictures of our hand/home made presents to help inspire people. So if anyone have made their own presents or maybe even hampers then please post us a picture here
And maybe a rough cost of materials
This is a handbag I just finished crocheting - approximate cost £3 - this will increase a little when I line it and add a zip or button closing to it but no more than £4 in total.

I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow in the daylight
Now come on ladies and gents your turn to share!!! :rotfl:

I haven't any photos yet but I have some plain vases I am going to paint with glass paints and fire, I'm knotting a few scarves and also crocheting some old fashioned doileys for a friend who is into retro stuff. Going to make a few shopping bags out of upholstery fabric samples I bought for a few quid from a local shop. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

Not really... I think in total about 3 evenings... as I said I still have to make the lining and no doubt that's another evenings work but most definitely less than a week... and if it was someone half decent with a crochet needle it would probably be half that time to make it :rotfl:
Because it's only one stitch it's very very quick

Talk about seeing double Tine! Just came to MSE straight from C'ville
Your bag is gorgeous, love the colours. Christmas has been on my mind for a few weeks now, need to start thinking about what to make this year. Will put some piccies in here when I get some things done.
This'll be a great inspirational thread, thanks!0 -

lol yeah I tend to spend more time over here compared to there - my next project is to try and get the pattern for the fat bottomed bag that everyone is making - I think they are so funky and can think of a few people to make that for
And I am working on a design for a scarf that is a slightly modified version of a scarf on crochet pattern central - the first version looked quite funky but there are some tweaks to be done... I'll keep everyone posted

OoOoOo that bag is lovely, my 7yr old is sitting here saying "I want one" lol
I have'nt crocheted (spelling) for yeaaaaars and i have'nt got any bits here but would love to start making little bags like this as there's now five 3-8yr old girlie girls in the family so these would be great as xmas prezzies or birthdays
How do i start...I mean I'll have to have a hunt for the needle thingys next time i go shopping but what type of wooly fabric stuff do you use (yes im sooo up to date with the crochet lingo lol) and how do you start...hope you dont mind me asking questions
I did start to knit my nephew a blue blanket when my sister found out she was having a boy...he's 3 this October and the blanket is more like a ken doll scarf
Any advice for a numpty would be very greatfully recieved

LOL that particular bag is very very easy - I did 100 chain stitches and joined it so I had a circle and then I just carried on round and round till it was the depth I wanted. Added a handle and then closed the bottom and now it just needs a lining.
I used all manner of odds and ends I had and crochet it double with a base strand of wool in a light blue colour - it makes it thicker and makes the colour more of a scheme I think
The hook size I used was 6mm
